The
primary goal
of the
after school classes
is to help K-5th
graders build a solid
foundation for learning Chinese
as a second
language.
OUR
GOAL
Numerous
studies have shown that
a second (or third) language
is good for young minds.
Mandarin
is clearly one of the languages of
the future and a child who obtains
fluency will have a life-long edge.
There
are over 20 schools providing Mandarin
Chinese instruction in San Francisco.
These range from semi-daycare to rigorous
academic immersion environments. We
will tend towards the latter.
Our
students will be expected to actually
learn and speak Mandarin and, after
three years will be prepared for advanced
studies in Academy or High School
and an AP program in College.
